The R18.3 design has been developed from the successful R17.5m - DSN#24 - "Paroo".
Instead of steel, the R18.3m is a full aluminium kit yacht. It has a little more volume and stowage space than "Paroo" with the advantage of the lighter construction weights. The accommodation layout is based on a collision bulkhead and a number of watertight bulkheads meeting 1 compartment sub-division requirements for added safety.
